A prylle Sturdivant’s nature is to be a helper, long before she began Psychiatric Rehabilitation Coordinator (RC) at Harvest of Hope. Before she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work, for many years she supported women who were working in prostitution. Building her career in social services is not a job for Sturdivant, but her calling in life.

Her days are varied and her schedule is always full, from guiding clients through processes to receive benefits, to coordinating transportation to and from appointments, while collaborating with each client’s therapists to assist them to meet their treatment plan goals, Sturdivant is a critical team member who aids in HOH’s mission of implementing a sober treatment philosophy. The HOH philosophy incorporatesavarietyof clinical components which culminates in effective treatment and restoration of quality of life. She meets with each of her clients a few times a week. Sturdivant assists the women regularly by ensuring each individual has everything they need from toiletries to mitigating possible conflicts, and ensuring all issues are resolved. Sturdivant began her tenure with HOH in March of 2020, at the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Learning how to safely stay in contact with the women she supports regularly was important to Sturdivant who understood she had to see people’s body language and facial expressions.
