of clients from individuals and small business owners to multinational corporations. The firm was founded in 1885 in Madison, Wisconsin on a simple philosophy of hard work, loyalty and aggressive representation. In that sense, the firm has changed very little in the last century and a quarter. Six generations later, the business of law is more complex, more sophisticated, more nuanced than ever before – and the Axley team of legal specialists mirrors the challenges of the day. But, the foundational approach to client relationships and tangible results remains strongly intact. At Axley, we always believed in lookingateverysituationfrommultiple angles, and so we value teamwork that our clients are our partners, and so
us all. “Advocacy” is a word often overused in the legal environment, but here at Axley law firm, it’s a word that still carries weight in our client relationships. Any law firm can stand at your side, but it takes an aggressive, responsive, creative approach to be a true advocate, to design uncommon solutions to common issues and to get the results our clients need. Our dedication to exceeding client expectations and furthering innovation in the legal field is evident in a variety of unique alternative fee arrangements. We also maintain a complimentary client portal – a virtual storage space where clients can access documents 24/7. In addition, we make it a priority to respond to all emails we receive within a 24-business-hour time frame.

change resulting in the end of violence againstwomen, gender-non- conforming and transgender folks, and children within communities of color. FI works to challenge the root causes of violence, poverty, racism and discrimination. Our belief is that people who are most affected by these issues must have voice, power, resources and choice, in order for true social change to happen. At Freedom, Inc. we describe our governance structure as a flower. Rather than making decisions through a traditional non-profit hierarchy, activities are coordinated through overlapping committees that form the petals of a flower (eg. programs for youth, empowerment, organizing, political education, and domestic violence services advocacy are linked together with operations like fundraising and administration). The center of the flower is made up of the organization’s members, so the community served is the community
progress when addressing needs. The board assumes financial and legal responsibilities, but defers leadership to the staff and community for maintaining mission-driven work and strategies. The mission statement and organizational model for Freedom, Inc. is “Our community is our campaign.” We maintain positively- directed focus on the greatest benefit to our multi-faceted communities. Concerted efforts are led by those most susceptible to, and affected by, violence, injustice, and inequality. We continuously hone our critical strategies for developing and sustaining that leadership. In doing so, we provide a cross-sectional and multi-pronged approach to goal achievement that ensures prosperity and success for our future.

Prestigiacomo, who was work- ing in IT at the time, had been ponder- ing a career change. “Oh my gosh, these dispensers are so fun,” she thought, as she poured a glass. And so began the adventure of Grape Water Wine Bar. The establish- ment, which opened in 2017, is locat- ed on Hubbard Avenue in the heart of downtown Middleton. Its motto is em- blazoned across the front window. “Unsnobbing the wine bar, one glass at a time.” That’s Prestigia- como’s aim, and she has built Grape Water around that simple idea. “You don’t have to get all dressed up to en-

Because of the current health order, Grape Water’s seating is limited to outside tables (weather permitting), although the wine bar is holding some DIY Wine Tasting Events inside.
