“TO BRING THEM BACK TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE LIGHT OF GODWOULD BE PHENOMENAL.” - TYREE ARMSTRONG, CAMP DIRECTOR

SPIRITUAL BASIS As a Bible camp, staff will also put an emphasis on the teachings of the scripture, getting the younger kids to remember the stories of the Bible, while discussing those lessons in more detail with the older group. Armstrong says he hopes all of the students will learn something they can take with them into their daily lives. “With the younger kids, it’s more a foundation stage just so they can have something to refer to biblically,” Armstrong says. “In the older kids, we’re trying to implement a lifestyle.”

At just 16 years old, Armstrong already recognizes the need to impart the wisdom of the Bible to his fellow young people. He’s already helped organize several similar camps for other organizations and says it’s an opportunity for him to develop his skills and gain experience for his future as a minister. Armstrong says in addition to providing fun activities and a safe environment, he hopes to reach students on a personal level and make a lasting impact on their lives. “Being a youth minister and being of a young age myself, I feel as if it’s important to reach out to my peers,” Armstrong says. “There are so many lost individuals in this area, so to bring them back to the glory of God and the light of God would be phenomenal.” “IT’S A CAMP THAT INVOLVES EDUCATION ALL THEWAY AROUND.” - TYREE ARMSTRONG
