Mary Hall Freedom Village

“We have many clients with broken families, and I love it when we can begin the process of reunification with their children.”

When asked what kind of impact Mary Hall Freedom Village has on its participants, Seulgi’s face lights up, pointing out that change happens quickly. “ You can see a difference in our clients, even a week later. They look like a different person; their countenance is different.” She grins happily, obviously loving her job. “It's a really fulfilling position to be in and it is very rewarding.” Seulgi says that her most joyful role is in bringing mothers and their children back together. “We have many clients with broken families, and I love it when we can begin the process of reunification with their children.” Whenasked if she could share a success story, Seulgi nods. “Yes, there is one in particular. A few months ago, a participant came by my desk and told me she was having great success in the program, and she was so excited. A lot of the women who come into the program come from broken families, and it can be a very scary and anxious thing to start into this program alone, without family, and not know if they will be able to regain their children. But she was able to reunify with her children, and it was a very rewarding moment.”
